Day 12: All Roads Lead to Rome (8/30/2011)

Key Points:

1. Rome is a currently a city in the country of Italy.

2. The Roman Empire lasted for hundreds of years.

3. The Roman Empire still influences our society today.



Objective: The junior historians of 2017 will be able to create Cornell notes from text information and use five Roman vocabulary words in a sentence.



Task 1: Submit your homework here. If you already submitted it online, you do not have to submit it again.



Task 2 Do Now: Complete this activity on words to know.



Task 3: We will finish setting up our history portfolios and changing the background image.


Task 4: In class we will read about the Legacy of the Roman Empire together.



Task 5: Make a copy of this document. We will use this to take Cornell Notes on the Roman Empire.



Homework: Read about the end of the Roman Empire in the west and complete the workbook page.
