Day 8: Understanding Centuries (8/24/2011)

Key Points:

1. History is broken up into centuries.
2. Each century has a name.
3. There is a system for determining the name of a century.

Objective: The historians of 2017 will be able to determine which century certain historical events happened using the year.

Task 1: Place your homework on your desk.

Task 3: Track Mr. Sanders as he shows you a clip from one of his favorite cartoons. After the clip we will start talking about historical time names.

Task 4: Create a copy of this document. We will use it to take notes today.
